No. There is no need to have cable TV or phone service, but you do

page of this site, and we'll let you know if you are serviceable.
Do I need any special equipment?
Yes, but we will supply everything you need during installation,
at no additional cost.
Can I install your High Speed Cable myself?
Yes. In some areas self-installation is available. Professional installation
is also available at no additional charge. If you would prefer self-installation, ask your local cable provider if it's available
in your area when you're contacted for installation scheduling.
Do you have technical support if I need help getting started?
Yes. Our installation pros will make sure you are up and running
before they leave your home and should be able to answer any question you have. If you need any additional help after that,

How fast is EarthLink High Speed Cable?
We offer our Cable plans with a wide range of speeds, from 768Kbps
to 8Mbps. But not all plans/speeds are available in all areas.
How much faster is EarthLink High Speed Cable than Dial-Up?
Our Cable plans range from 13x to 145x faster than a typical 56K dial-up connection. Here

Can I watch TV and use my High Speed Cable service at the
same time?
Yes. Our Cable Internet service does not interfere with your cable
TV at all. Your family can even watch multiple TVs and use your high-speed Internet connection at the same time.
Who provides the service, EarthLink or my cable TV provider?
Both. Your cable provider provides a portion of the network that
EarthLink High Speed Cable uses to deliver broadband Internet access to your home. EarthLink provides the other portion of
the network and all the services.
Who will I receive a bill from, EarthLink or my cable provider?
To simplify billing, you will be billed by your cable provider. Your
monthly cable bill will show charges for your EarthLink High Speed Internet service.
You do not need to call Time Warner or Bright House to cancel the
Internet service. If you sign up today, in the next 3 biz days you will get a call from Time Warner / Bright House informing
you about switching the service to EarthLink. Since you already have Internet with them, there would be no new installation
required.
Since there is no commitment for any cable product and the price
of Cable Standard service for the first 6 months is the same price as Cable Lite, I suggest you sign up for the Cable Standard
and try the speeds of up to 5.0Mbps (vs. up to 768 Kbps for Cable Lite) for the same price. You can take Cable Standard for
the first 6 months and then call us to downgrade to the Cable Lite after 6 months if you find that you do not need the additional
speed. There would be no penalty in doing so. How does that sound to you?
Since there is no up front cost to order, what we can do is order
the service today so that you have 3 biz days to think before actually Installing the service. If there is a concern and you
do not wish to set up the Internet, you can just let the technician know that you do not need the service and they will help
